River Action's 26th Annual Senior Citizen Riverfront Golf Cart Tours
Thursday, September 3 & Friday, September 4, 2026
Senior citizens, come join the fun in guided golf cart tours of riverfront trails on both sides of the Mississippi! This is a fun way to gain knowledge on the past, present, and future of the Quad Cities and the Mississippi River. Tours fill up fast, and carts are limited! The fee is $40 per cart for two participants, per tour. This event is held rain or shine; no refunds will be given. Valid driver's license required. A confirmation card will be sent out for each cart and must be presented at your tour.
Cost is $40 PER CART (two people per cart) - not per person!
2026 Illinois Tours
IL Tour A: Arsenal Island - Thursday, September 3
Tour the Rock Island Arsenal’s beautiful riverfront trail. We will make stops at the Col. Davenport House, the 1856 Bridge Pier, the Civil War Confederate prisoner of war camp, the National Cemetery, the Colonel's Row of Quarters, and the historic Rock Island Arsenal Quarters One commanders home.
Arrive through the Moline gate on the Rock Island Arsenal. From the Moline gate, drive down Rodman about 2 ½ miles to Hillman, and go right. Park in the gravel lot at the end of Hillman. You must bring a valid ID/driver’s license to enter the island.

IL Tour B: Sunset Park to Ben Butterworth - Thursday, September 3
Visit Rock Island and Moline riverfront starting at and returning to Sunset Park, traveling to Ben Butterworth Parkway. Speakers from each city will bring you up to date on new developments along the route.
Meet at Sunset Park, 31st Avenue exit off the Centennial Expressway in Rock Island.

IL Tour C: Rapids City to Cordova - Thursday, September 3
This tour begins in Rapids City and travels through Port Byron to Cordova and back. Speakers will give updates on new developments along the route.
Meet at Shuler Shady Grove Park in Rapids City. From Highway 84, turn toward the river on 11th Street.

2026 Iowa Tours
IA Tour D: Duck Creek Trail - Friday, September 4
This tour travels along Duck Creek Trail starting in Davenport and turning around in Bettendorf. Speakers from each city’s Planning and Public Works Departments will bring you up to date on new developments along the route.
Meet at Junge Park in Davenport. Turn west onto W. 32nd St. from Harrison St. and park in the lot at the end of W. 32nd St.

IA Tour E: Nahant Marsh - Friday, September 4
This tour focuses on the natural places and wetlands at Nahant Marsh.
Meet at Miller Ave. and S. Concord St. in Davenport.

IA Tour F: Credit Island to Leah Park - Friday, September 4
Tour the Davenport and Bettendorf riverfronts starting at Credit Island and traveling to Leach Park and back. Speakers from each city will bring you up to date on new developments along the route.

Each registered participant will be sent a confirmation ticket/waiver with tour details and directions. Please sign and bring this to the tour.
