FLOATZILLA 2025 is August 15-16

Packet pick up will be held at the Credit Island Lodge at 2200 W River Dr, Davenport, IA 52802. To get there stay straight at the fork once you get on Credit Island. The lodge is the brick building on the right. Please come get your packets at the lodge between 4-7 PM on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Kayak Fishing Tournament

This year River Action will be hosting a FREE Kayak Fishing Tournament at Credit Island from 6-8 PM on August 15. Bring your kayak and fishing gear and join in on the fun after grabbing your packet. in order to participate you need:

• Kayak
• Fishing pole
• Valid Iowa OR Illinois fishing license

River Action will be providing bait and a yardstick to measure your catches (be sure to take a picture before releasing!). There will be a prize for first place!

Sign up to volunteer for Floatzilla 2025! Volunteers are needed on Friday, August 15th and Saturday, August 16th in multiple locations, for multiple jobs. All volunteers will receive a Floatzilla volunteer t-shirt at our volunteer orientation on Thursday, August 14th!


Positions include:

• Packet pick-up at Credit Island Lodge on Friday, Aug. 5th.
• Registration, parking assistance, unloading boats, and launch assistance at multiple locations on Saturday, August 16th.
• Set up, tear down, and clean up at Lake Potter on Saturday, August 16th.
• Portage assistance on Sylvan Island on Saturday, August 16th.

We will be having a Floatzilla volunteer orientation on Aug. 14th at Sunset Park in Rock Island, IL. This is the time when volunteers can pick up their t-shirts, understand where and what they will be doing at the event, and meet other volunteers! Pizza included!

By engaging worksites, communities, schools, retail food, organizations, institutions and individuals, we can inspire Iowans and their communities to improve their health and happiness, and ultimately achieve our goal. They have added Floatzilla to the calendar of events that help achieve their goals!
