JOE SCHWIETERMAN
Joseph Schwieterman is a Professor in the School of Public Service and Sustainable Urban Development program at DePaul University and is the director of the university’s Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development. He is the principal investigator of a project supported by the National Great Rivers Research & Education that includes an analysis of municipal approaches to engaging rivers. Dr. Schwieterman is the immediate past president of the Transportation Research Forum, an international organization founded in 1958. He is the author of more than two dozen peer-reviewed articles on the development of cities and transportation. One of his more recent books is an illustrated history of planning for the Chicago region, available through Northwestern University Press.
