PARKING/ACCESS
Mainline and feeder canal available at 80+ bridges along the 96-mile corridor. Milan section parking and access at the Steel Dam (Lock 30), the Route 67 Bridge (Lock 31), and along Big Island Road (Lock 32).
SITE AMENITIES
Contact the site for more information at the canal visitor center located near Sheffield. Fishing and camping at nine locations, 11 boat ramps (8 on the mainline, 3 on the feederline). 80+ miles of multi-purpose trail for bicycling and hiking, 60+ miles of equestrian trails. Snowmobiling permitted. Restrooms at various locations along the corridor

Visitor Center open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday- Friday. Corridor open 7 days/week
SITE CHARACTERISTICS
Site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Canal construction began in 1890 and was completed in 1907. Mainline parkway includes Edford Township Prairie, Concord Peat Bog and the Wyanet Prairie natural areas. Feederline features Tampico Marsh and Gold Township Prairie
